Mahatma Gandhi
On January 30th , 1948 he was killed by a young radical.We remember him on this day because he was a peacemaker.He created the concept of a non-violent way of protesting against injustices.Many civil rights leaders, including Martin Luther King Jr., used Gandhi's concept of non-violent protest as a model for their own struggles.
